Clever Clogs tip # 698

Coming soon in Outlook *

Microsoft has moved Outlook's Email, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks to a different spot. Soon they will no longer appear horizontally at the bottom, but vertically next to the Folder Pane.

I'll write a separate tip about it as it has a couple of advantages, but in the meantime you might want to fall in love with the following four keyboard shortcuts:

CTRL + 1 : Switch to Email
CTRL + 2 : Switch to Calendar
CTRL + 3 : Switch to Contacts
CTRL + 4 : Switch to Tasks

That way, when you get the new layout you won't tear your hair out as they will still work.

There's no escaping - you'll get it sooner or later. And apparently you'll be unable to change it back.

Speaking of changing it back ... if any of you clicked on Coming Soon in the top right hand corner, but want it back to how it was, simply click on the On button and restart Outlook.

Finally, for those of you who are not using Outlook 365 ... even if this change won't come your way, the keyboard shortcuts work and might save you a couple of seconds per day.
