Using Google as a currency converter

Remember I told you Google's powerful search tool can also be used as a calculator (tip_79.php) or dictionary (tip_72.php)? So perhaps you already use Google not just to surf the web, but to get you head around stones versus kilos and feet versus meters. But did you know it supports currency conversion as well?

Here's how:

  1. In Google's blank search box, simply type the conversion you are looking for. (For example: 150 GBP in EUR)
  2. Press [ENTER] or the Search button.

It obviously comes with a disclaimer ... Google cannot guarantee the accuracy of the exchange rates used by the calculator. You should confirm current rates before making any transactions that could be affected by changes in the exchange rates. Foreign currency rates provided by Citibank N.A. and displayed under license. Rates are for information purposes only and are subject to change without notice. Rates for actual transactions may vary, and Citibank is not offering to enter into any transaction at any rate displayed.

Happy Googling!
