In Outlook, you can send files by attaching them to an email. You probably know how to open and save an attachment, but did you know you can print attachments without opening them?
Here's how:
Once this setting is turned on, it remains on until you turn it off, so if in future you only want to print the message, not the attachment(s), you need to keep an eye on whether or not the "Print attached files" check box is selected.
By the way, if you don't want to print all attachments you can right-click the relevant attachment from the open message and select Print (Outlook 2007) or Quick Print (Outlook 2010).
I’m committed to sharing the best of what I know with others so please don’t keep me a secret. If you enjoyed today’s tip, please forward it to anyone you feel may benefit. Alternatively, feel free to reprint it (with full copyright and subscription information) in your newsletters and message boards.
