For years I kept changing the appearance of items in my various folders from "Small Icons" to "Details", so that I'd be able to sort the items by name or by date. It wasn't long ago (shame on me?!) I found out you can set all the folders on your computer to match the current folder’s view settings.
Here's how:
You now have set your own preferred view, which - of course - you can change as normal.
By the way, we had another excel-lent Excel with Excel seminar on Tuesday and it has given me lots of ideas for future tips, so watch this space! If you missed the seminar but are keen to transform your talents you can buy the (204-page!) handout with practice material on a CD for GBP67 (including delivery). The handout is designed in a step-by-step format that is suitable for self-study and has been approved by the Microsoft Office Specialist Program ensuring the courseware is among the finest available for learning Microsoft Excel. Phone or email support can be arranged to provide guidance, answer questions, and assist with problems. Simply email karen@roem.co.uk if you wish to order and I will invoice you or your organisation accordingly.
