Using Google to track flight status

Remember I told you Google's powerful search tool can be used as a calculator (http://www.roem.co.uk/tip_79.html) or dictionary (http://www.roem.co.uk/tip_72.html). Or perhaps you're using it as a currency converter? (http://www.roem.co.uk/tip_251.html) Well, there is more ... you can also use it to track flight status.

Here's how:

  1. In Google's blank search box, simply type the flight number. (For example, BA8735.)
  2. Press [ENTER] or the Search button.

Glad I wasn't flying out yesterday morning ...

6 Aug 2009 - 16 minutes late
Departed: 8:10 AM, Estimated arrival: 10:56 AM

Until next week.
