quickly locate a person in your address books (Microsoft Outlook)

Remember the saying that you never know what you've got until it's gone? Well, there is one fab Outlook keyboard shortcut that I've never shared with you. But as I've recently been missing it in Livelink's eLink functionality, I suddenly realise how much I like it! It's a keyboard shortcut that quickly checks an e-mail address in the To, Cc, or Bcc box against the names in your address books.

Here's how:

  1. Create an email message as normal.
  2. Enter (part of) a name in the To, Cc, or Bcc box.
  3. Press CTRL+K.

If there's more than one match Outlook presents a list of names to choose from. Which is a great thing if you want to make sure you send your message to the right person in your address book. (Isn't it, Jonathan? ;-)

Finally, our new course schedule is now available online. So check out our upcoming events on http://www.roem.co.uk/course_schedule.php

Until next week.
