Reclaiming Time: The Art of Time Management
It's now December and are you panicking that the year is nearly gone? Do you find yourself making yet more New Year's resolutions? Do any of these sound familiar:
Do you find your to-do list just keeps on expanding? Do you increasingly feel overwhelmed and stressed by your workload? Do you typically leave things to the last minute and find yourself working long hours to meet that important deadline?
During an intense workshop on Thursday, 1 February 2007 at Palace House, Newmarket experienced Business and Personal Development Coach Jennifer Baker of Baker Coaching Services and Karen Roem of Roem Ltd, provider of one-to-one and group Microsoft Training, will take you through all the information and guidance that you need to ensure you carry on using the resources to make your life easier, happier and stress free.
Take a moment and visualise your ideal working day, where you're balancing the demands of work and home; you are planning and prioritising your week and day to complete projects, meet deadlines, keep commitments and still have time to play. If you could learn how to really manage your time, would you be interested?
"People use the term 'spend time'. Time cannot be put on a shelf and used tomorrow. We cannot shorten or lengthen time. We cannot borrow or lend it. We cannot even work harder and earn more of it. It is not time we need to manage but ourselves – and particularly we need to learn to manage how and where we focus our attention." says Jennifer. "We have to self-manage. That is the only way to increase available time for realizing things we wish to accomplish. People who are successful at managing their lives work in a very different way from those that aren't." concludes Jennifer.
Karen of Roem Limited adds "Microsoft Office is a powerful piece of software and can be an extremely useful tool in your quest for help in saving hours of your time. Yet - despite all its muscle – it is under-used by most of us and is the cause of a lot of frustration when you try to understand something that you are not familiar with."
This is why the team has combined forces and expertise to bring to you this highly interactive workshop to learn the art of true time management. It will give you the tools and know-how to manage your time.
The workshop will be held at Palace House, Newmarket, on 1 February 2007 from 10am to 4pm and includes refreshments and lunch. Cost per person is £295 or book before 1/1/2007 and pay just £195 (+ VAT).

* Latest CBI statistics show that 164m days were lost in the UK economy last year through absence, at a cost to the economy of £13bn. A third of working time lost was due to long-term illness, with stress cited as a major cause, but as many as 13% of those days were considered non-genuine by employers.
