Quickly check recipient names before sending a message (Microsoft Outlook)

In Outlook name checking is automatically done when you click the Send button. However,

Did you know ...

You can quickly check all the names of the recipients before sending a message by using a shortcut button, ensuring you send the message to the right people.

Here's how:

  1. Open a new message window as normal.
  2. Enter the name(s) of the recipient(s) by typing the name(s) in the To, Cc and/or Bcc boxes.
  3. Enter the subject and text of the message.
  4. Press [CTRL] + K. If multiple names are found that match what you typed a "Check Names" dialog box will appear for each of the recipients, listing the matches that were found in your Address Book.
  5. Click on the Send button on the Standard toolbar.

Until next week.
