Tile all worksheets and save the layout (Microsoft Excel) *

If you have several workbooks open, you can tile all open workbooks using Arrange All from the View tab. But did you know that you can also view all your worksheets at the same time?

Here's how:

  1. Open the workbook that have the worksheets you want to tile and save as tiles.
  2. On the View tab, in the Window group, click the New Window button as many times as the number of additional sheets you want to view. (For example, click it three times to give you an opportunity to view four sheets at the same time.)
  3. Click on the Arrange All button on the View tab.
  4. Select the option you want. (I prefer Tiled.)
  5. Tick the Windows of active workbook check box and click OK or press ENTER.
  6. In each window, click the sheet you want to view.
  7. Save the workbook as normal. (CTRL + S, anyone?)

Next time you open the workbook you will see the same arrangement. To restore the workbook to full size, simply click the Maximize (the middle) button in the upper right corner of one of the worksheets.
