Quickly switching to slide show view (Microsoft PowerPoint)

To start a slide show from within PowerPoint you can either click on the Slide Show button at the lower left of the PowerPoint window or select the View Show option from the Slide Show menu. However,

Did you know ...

You can use PowerPoint's keyboard shortcut to quickly switch to slide show view?

Here's how:

  1. display any slide of your PowerPoint presentation in any view (normal, outline, slide or slide sorter view)
  2. Press the F5 key

The slide show will automatically start right from the beginning (as compared to the slide you were displaying before swapping to slide show view when using the Slide Show button in the lower left corner).

Until next week.
