How to delete an entire message thread (Microsoft Outlook)

In Outlook a message thread includes an original message and all of its replies and forwards. A message thread is referred to as a conversation.

Did you know ...

You can use the grouping feature in Microsoft Outlook to easily delete an entire conversation.

Here's how:

  1. Select the folder containing your conversation, for instance the Inbox.
  2. On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click By Conversation Topic. (Alternatively, use the Current View drop-down list on the Advanced toolbar.)
  3. Click the conversation group header, and then press DELETE.
  4. Jump up out of your chair, ecstatic and delighted.
  5. Return to your preferred standard view as described in step 2.

Until next week.
