Microsoft PowerPoint is a widely used package to create presentations. The primary objective of this half-day Introduction course is to familiarise you with the basic operations of PowerPoint. This extremely practical course will provide hands-on experience of many of the features found in this product. By the end of the course you will be competent with the following skills:
Getting started
- what is PowerPoint? starting PowerPoint
- the PowerPoint application window
- using the PowerPoint ribbons
- using the quick access toolbar
- displaying help information
- exiting from PowerPoint
Creating text slides
- resetting the working folder
- creating a new presentation
- adding a new slide to a presentation
- saving a presentation, editing the text on a slide
- resetting the line spacing of paragraphs
- closing a presentation file
Using ready-made shapes
- reopening a presentation

Creating a PowerPoint table

Including images in a presentation
- inserting pictures from you computer or from the stock image library
