Quickly find buttons in the Office 2007 Ribbon Interface (Office 2007)

One of the things I absolutely love about Office 2007 is the Ribbon. Why, I hear you ask. Well, because every option is always there. In the same place. Even if you resize your window (although it might mean that you only see a button, no text). Which is something that I found extremely annoying in earlier versions of Office, where you initially only saw a basic set of commonly-used options and you had to wait a few seconds before all commands were displayed.

But what if Microsoft's logic isn't your logic and you cannot remember exactly on what tab the command button lives? Well, there is a great way of quickly scrolling through the various tabs on the Ribbon.

Here's how:

1. Place your cursor anywhere over the ribbon menu.
2. Roll the mouse wheel away from you (up) or towards you (down).

By the way, for those of you that don't know what bit of Office 2007 is called the Ribbon ... it's the area that runs across the top of the screen and makes all the functions of each program available in one single area. Commands are organised in intuitive groups and appear as buttons on tabs that make up the Ribbon.
