Change the number of times you can click the Undo button (PowerPoint 2007)

First of all a big thank you to all of you who emailed about the last tip (http://www.roem.co.uk/tip_266.html), but credit where credit is due ... it was Jonathan and Tony who told me how to improve legibility of your older spreadsheets - and it clearly struck a chord! Remember, if you have a tip to share let me know. If your tip is selected, I'll publish it - along with your name (the bragging rights will last a lifetime ;-)

Anyway, on with this week's tip ... Not long ago I was running an introduction course, where the go-back-to-where-I-was-happy (aka Undo) button was welcomed with great enthusiasm. But what if you want to undo more than the last twenty actions you took since you opened your PowerPoint presentation? Well, in version 2007 you can change the maximum number of "Undos".

Here's how:

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button. (The big blob in the left hand top corner.)
  2. Click PowerPoint Options.
  3. In the left pane, select the Advanced category.
  4. In the Editing options section, in the Maximum Number Of Undos text box, double-click 20 and type any number from 3 to 150.
  5. Click OK.

Finally, we have one place left on next Friday's Access 2007 Introduction course, which will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. See http://www.roem.co.uk/msaccintro2007.html for full details or drop me a line to reserve your place.

Until next week.
