Find websites you visited in the past (Internet Explorer)

Ever wanted to return to a specific web page you looked at today or in the past, but cannot find it? You probably know you can use the browser's Back button (or hold down the SHIFT key and roll the wheel down, as described in tip 136, see http://www.roem.co.uk/tip_136.html) to return to the last page you visited. Or perhaps you click on the arrow to the right of the Back button (Internet Explorer - IE - 6) or "recent pages" button (IE7) to see a list of web pages you visited recently. But did you know you can see all pages you visited in the past 20 days?

Here's how:

  1. While holding down the CTRL key, press the letter h. (Or, if you are a button-person, click on the History button on IE6's toolbar or on the Favorites Center button in IE7.)
  2. Click the day that you visited the website.
  3. In the list of websites that you visited on that day, click the site you want to go to.

You can also change the way in which the websites you have visited are displayed and remove items from the history list, but I want to keep that up my sleeves for when I don't have enough tip inspiration.

Until next week.
