searching for data using the new user-friendly Search box (Access 2007)

Access 2007 has some great new stuff - once you know where to find it! And as I gather from my Access 2007 training courses not a lot of people do. So here's one of my (and June Cheetham's; hi June!) favourites ... the "speedy" Search box to the right of the record navigation buttons, at the bottom of the table or form.

Here's how:
1. Click in the Search box (to the right of the record navigation buttons, at the bottom of the table or form).
2. Type the search value (the entry you want to find).
3. If necessary, press [ENTER] until you have found the desired record.

As you type each character in the Search box, the first matching value is highlighted. Simply press [ENTER] until you've found what you're looking for.

By the way, if you want to find out more about the new features in Access 2007, why not sign up for the Access Introduction and/or Intermediate course, planned for January. See our course schedule (http://www.roem.co.uk/course_schedule.php) for dates.

Until next week.
