Quickly refresh data on a web page (Internet Explorer)
If you are looking at web pages that are changed throughout the day (such as the BBC weather or Livelink pages) you might be viewing pages that are out of date. Most of you probably know that, to make sure you have the latest version of the page, you click the Refresh button on the standard toolbar. (Or those of you who are right-mouse-clickers probably right-click on the web page and select Refresh.) But do you know about the keyboard shortcut equivalents?
Here's how:
- Press F5 OR
- Press CTRL+R
With thanks to Stuart of the UK's air traffic control nerve centre in Whiteley, who taught me the more intuitive CTRL+R(efresh) when I was explaining that the Back button to return to the previous Livelink page doesn't automatically refresh your screen.
