Keyboard shortcut for replying to a message (Outlook 2000-2007)

Tip # 219 on how to send an Outlook message by pressing CTRL+ENTER (see http://www.roem.co.uk/tip_219.html) resulted in all sorts of reactions and some great tip ideas! Eric Sundberg wrote to tell me about a shortcut for replying to a message.

Here's how:

  1. Select or open the email message.
  2. Press ALT+R or CTRL+R (for "reply", just in case you need a mnemonic ;-)
  3. Compose and send your message as normal, which hopefully these days is CTRL+ENTER ... or ALT+S as Diane Grogan and Eric pointed out; thanks, guys.

Away with the mouse!

Until next week.
